Your business, listed where government buyers shop

Central and state government departments, public sector units and many other organisations buy goods and services through GeM (Government e-Marketplace). If you manufacture, trade or supply products, or provide services, registering as a GeM seller opens a large and recurring market. But a rushed or incorrect registration causes delays, rejected profiles and missed opportunities.

Zorvex Enterprises guides you through the entire process: choosing the right seller type, preparing documents, completing verifications, building a professional seller profile, selecting the right categories and uploading a clean catalogue. We make sure your listing is correct, complete and ready to be found.

Documents typically needed for GeM seller registration

Requirements depend on your entity type and category, and GeM can update them, so we confirm the current list for you. In general you should keep ready:

  • PAN of the business or proprietor, and Aadhaar-based authentication of the authorised person
  • Business registration proof (for example proprietorship, partnership, company or LLP documents)
  • GST registration, where applicable
  • Bank account details with a cancelled cheque or bank statement
  • Udyam registration (if you are an MSE) and DPIIT recognition (if you are a startup)
  • Mobile number and email linked to the authorised signatory
  • Product or service details, brand or OEM authorisations, and certificates where required
Note: Registration on GeM does not carry a seller registration fee charged by GeM. Transaction-related charges apply as per GeM's current schedule, which we explain during onboarding. Our fee is only for the guidance and work we provide.

Why catalogue quality decides your orders

On GeM, buyers search and compare. A catalogue with vague titles, wrong categories, weak specifications or poor images will not be found or trusted. We prepare listings that match the category requirements, use accurate specifications and keywords, and present your products clearly, because a well-built catalogue is what brings you buyers and bids.

Common reasons GeM registrations get delayed

  • Name or details that do not match across PAN, GST and bank records
  • Wrong seller type, category or OEM versus reseller selection
  • Incomplete or unclear documents and certificates
  • Unverified mobile, email or authorised-person details
  • Catalogue entries that do not meet category specifications

We catch these issues before you submit, which saves weeks of back-and-forth.

Registration is the start: what comes next

After registration you can receive direct orders, respond to bids and take part in reverse auctions. Many sellers find that bid participation is where most orders come from, so we also offer a dedicated GeM bid participation service to help you quote correctly and compete effectively.

GeM Registration by Zorvex Enterprises

Frequently asked questions

What is GeM and who can sell on it?

GeM, the Government e-Marketplace, is the official online portal for public procurement in India. Manufacturers, traders, service providers, MSMEs and startups can register as sellers, subject to GeM's eligibility rules.

Is there a fee to register on GeM?

GeM does not charge a seller registration fee. Transaction-related charges apply as per GeM's current schedule. Our fee covers only our consulting and execution work, which we quote upfront.

How long does GeM seller registration take?

If your documents are ready and consistent, registration can be completed quickly. Delays usually come from mismatched details or missing documents, which we help you avoid.

Can a proprietorship, partnership, LLP or company register?

Yes. Different entity types are supported, and the document requirements differ slightly. We guide you based on your structure.

Do I need GST and Udyam to register?

GST is generally required where you are liable to register for it. Udyam is not mandatory to register but can unlock benefits for MSEs. We confirm what applies to you.

Will registering guarantee orders?

No. Registration gives you access to government buyers. Orders and bids depend on your catalogue, pricing, quality and responsiveness, which is why we also help with catalogue building and bid participation.
